Mentalgassi- Hidden Art

Mentalgassi is a group of three Berlin based street artist that combine photography, image manipulation, sculpturing and street art, they manipulate photographs and expose them around the cities of Europe mainly, and give a connection for just a second between the public and them. The photographs that are exposed show a lot of emotion and face expressions that can leave the public confused and intrigued by them. Among their most popular work are the "Metalheads" which was when they got portraits of mostly families and friends and blasted them up and printed them and put them on recycling bins around the their home-town, Berlin. This was followed by a series of face stickers attached to U-Bahn ticket validation machines, which made the public laugh since they were normally

of people making funny faces which interact with the public who is going into the metro, this started giving them recognition. One of there most hidden work is there work on fences which when looked directly at the fence is unseen but by walking and concentrating a portrait of a detailed black and white photograph will be revealed. They are truly amazing artist that take what the city has already given them and turn it into amazing portraits and amusing pieces in the places that nobody thinks are possible.
